AWARDS & DONATIONS

The North Peace Performing Arts Festival Association is dedicated to providing an opportunity for all students to participate, perform and learn from one another. For the past 29 years, students from all across Northern Alberta receive the opportunity
to perform in the disciplines of piano, voice, choir, band, solo instrumental, and speech arts. Students gain appreciation and knowledge from formal adjudications; receive encouragement to continue their studies, and have the potential to advance to provincial and national competitions.

Award Sponsors can be acknowledged in the Festival and Grand Concert programs, and on the Festival's Facebook page and website, and more. To find out more, please contact us at the bottom of this page.

The combined virtual Grande Prairie and North Peace Performing Arts Festival had 390 entries in 2021. NPPAF had 22 participants and 3 bands for a total of 107 entries in the festival.

Here are just 2 awards of the many awards given out each year. In addition to these, every performer has the opportunity to win an award and a spot in the Grand Concert.

Rotary Club of Peace River Music Education Award ($500)

This award is presented to a deserving intermediate or senior standard student to help offset the cost of advanced music training in a discipline of their choice. Students must submit a letter of interest by March 28, 2023 via email to northpeacefestival@gmail.com outlining the desired training.

The “Unsung Hero” Memorial Award ($400)

Inspired by the selfless acts of Terry Brunham and his dedication of support. The Unsung Hero Award will be presented to an individual who exemplifies these types of characteristics. It need not be a participant in Festival. We are looking for an extraordinary person who supports his/her attitude with selfless qualities, and whose presence in the Arts brings aid & encouragement to others.

Award Winner is announced at Grand Concert. We invite anyone with names and examples of selfless qualities to submit the student's names to NPPAFA.

We’d love to hear from you!

Thanks for submitting!
